January is Get Organized Month

The National Association of Professional Organizers (www.napo.net) sponsors Get Organized Month every January. This is ideal because getting organized is one of the top 5 New Yearís resolutions that people make.

The holiday rush is over, the decorations are put away (or not), family and friends have returned to their respective homes, and youíre looking around your own home or office with the realization that things are not as organized as they should be.

Oh no, you might think, not another reminder to tackle the kids rooms (AGAIN!), those piles on the kitchen counter, or that overflowing garage.

You may even think of organizing as a ďwaveĒ thing. You get organized and itís smooth sailing, and then suddenly this huge wave washes over you (junk mail, your kids school papers, overflowing Christmas gifts with no place to put them, etc.), and you have to start all over again.
